Can anyone explain why alcohol and cigarettes and cars are legal and marijuana is not???

The fact that recreational Marijuana is legal in Washington D.C. and not the rest of the country is total B.S. D.C. needs to follow Federal laws because their not technically a State.
Cigarettes are far more dangerous. Besides killing millions a year.. Think of the idiot parents that smoke cigarettes right next to their young kids/in the house/in the car? believe me this happens.
