  1. thank you so much for this video! I am about to bond my neutered male guinea pig "Romeo" with his younger girlfriend "Juliet"! We had to wait a while because when we first got Juliet she was only 2 months old and was too small to go in with full-grown Romeo! Juliet will be able to go in with Romeo in a couple more weeks! I can't wait! Thanks so much for this Video!

  2. I need a little advice, I've been trying to bond my 8 month old boy with my 1 year old girl and it's not exactly going to good. Both want to be boss and it's not going to good. My female is 100% tame and is the best girl but my boy is practically wild. But I have to get them bonded or something has to happen with my male… But I love him terribly. Help please!

  3. I have 2 almost 3 year old girls and want to get a third girl. I was told by a friend that 2 of the girls will pick on the third girl. Will that happen or will they get along? I thought girls were easy.

  4. Im looking to get my male guinea pig neutered and getting him three females so i have a herd of four but I'm worried about bonding him with them ๐Ÿ˜ฌโค๏ธ Anyone got any tips i would really appreciate it ๐Ÿ’–

  5. I have four female piggies.
2 I bought together from the same litter – they get on swimmingly but then I brought home a new female piggy and introduced. It was fine at first but a month down the line and ever since Luna (my aggressive piggy) has bullied Bella. (My timid scared baby) she stops her from eating and drinking and always chases her and bites her chin.
I have a new piggy, she hasnโ€™t been introduced yet BUT Iโ€™m thinking of just pairing her with Bella and keeping newbie and Bella separate from aggressive Luna. Luna gets on really well with her sister, Ginny.

  6. yo @saskia can u send me that cage plzzz for free i really need it i bought my gpigs and the cage is a store bought cage and it is 2 small plzz dont make my piggies suffer

  7. Hey! I love the work you do for the piggies ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ I just have a question. I have a 2 year old male guinea pig, who is pretty calm around other animals. He isnโ€™t neutered, but I want to get him a friend. Iโ€™ve been trying to decide on whether to get him a female and get him neutered, or to try a boy. I know it really depends on the piggy, but I was just wondering what you would suggest! Or what anyone else thinks. Thanks!

  8. I bonded a 1 year old neutered boar with my 3 year old sow now spayed for a because of tumour. And they get on great. My boar is very protective over his girl. If she gets spooked, he will walk over and sit in front of her until she is ok๐Ÿ™‚. Some videos of them are in my channel

  9. Iโ€™m fostering for Metropolitan GP rescue. I think Maryland requires all the pigs to be fixed. Iโ€™ll have to talk to manager, Becky to confirm. Saska, you would love her. I have 2 fixed boys and one fixed girl. And one who has birth control implant for polycystic ovary disease equivalent because I am GP neurotic. I believe Boy/girl are generally the easiest bondings. I understand why people donโ€™t want to take the risk to get pigs fixed and itโ€™s awesome that you can match boys. MPGR rarely loses GPs. I think the loss rate is on the order of dog/ cats, but I could be wrong so Iโ€™ll need to find out. Anyway lovely bonding as always.

  10. In 10 years having piggies i always bond girls very ez, but this year i got 3 young female's under 1 year old, 1 mom and 2 sisters, and they are all 3 aggressive.. my 2 older piggies are super sweet, but they are working things out. Hairs are up, and they chase it last more than a week now, but no biting. I have the option to split them up in 2 groups, i got alot of space. But as long as they don't bite i should keep trying right? Tnx for all the vid's they help me a lot! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

  11. I have two females that had a bit of trouble bonding with each other but have zero issues with my Male (not fixed). He would actually get between them to stop the struts. It's super cute tho, they do cuddle with him. I have not seen humping but if I get piggies I am ready to take full responsibility and I have an entire area already reserved for the 4 I already have. The 4th one is a Male and he refuses to bond with anyone, he is still close to the others just doesnt like sharing space

  12. My nova is supper mean, I've been trying to bond my two nova and naruto for about four months. I gave up after waking up for weeks on end to chittering, weeting, and running. I've tried towls, a spray bottle, food to distract them, but it's as if her eyes are gonna pop out of her head every time she sees her. In the beginning I had them side by side in their cages for about 2-3 weeks and while they did that I had lap time with them together about everyday. I still do laptime with them together, do you have tips on how to make a aggressive guinea pig friendly?

  13. Love you Saskia! I need your knowledge, especially right now. Introduced my submissive female(lost her older cage mate) to a bonded pair and it went well. Had to separate them by just a cage wall when my submissive one got a sprained front foot to keep her from having to walk on it as much with the dominant one nudging her and chasing her and she seems happier and more calm and content being separated from the most dominant guinea pig that gets on her case from time to time. Should I keep a cage wall in between her and the other two or get them back together even if she seems more stressed being the lowest guinea pig? I REALLY appreciate your input!
