  1. Having built a bunch of large planters at my old place –I wish you published this vid years ago! Would have made things a lot easier. Lol Still, the ones I built are still going strong and you are not kidding –it's amazing how heavy and how much pressure is generated by the soil you put in it. You need to make these thing incredibly strong just like you did.

  2. Very good I wanted to see how you kept the swinging doors close enough to the ground to keep critters out without it dragging and being a problem. Number 2 I shared this video with my wife who is obsessive compulsive about using treated lumber for a garden periods I insist it's the only material to use that won't rot overnight and that it's safer to use to day but….

  3. Plant some food for the deer outside, too.
Put ramps to the garden beds so you can let the chickens come in to eat the bugs sometimes.
Put metal hoops over the beds to use to put plastic over to extend the growing season.
Collect rainwater to use for dry days.
Plant evergreens near the north side of the outside of the garden to act as a windbreak.
Put a dog house on one side of the garden.
Plant decorative plants and flowers around the outside of the garden.
Build a compost center not too far from the garden. Have a section that the chickens can pick over.

  4. This is planet heaven for your plants, everything can grow safe, keeps the ones out who are not allowed in and let the ones in (bees, butterflies, birds….) who are helpful :0)

  5. That is so cool! When you start planting, you could grow some plants vertically on an arching trellis that reaches from one side to the other in say 3 foot intervals. Depending on what you plant, eventually you’ll be picking vegetables under a canopy of flowers, fruit and/or more vegetables!

  6. I love it and you’re shop. Think about a gantry type overhead lift with a chain fall or some type of crane system utilizing a 12 dc volt winch with a ac/dc converter. Don’t want to see you with a back injury. Now I have to go outside and be useful.

  7. Sweet project! Hope you show it again once you have things growing. I agree with Gabriel Mills, You should grow some type of climbing thing on the outside of the enclosure on the North & East side, Maybe grapes of something.

  8. With all the money spent on the walk in garden you probably could have just taken that money and bought what ever your growing for 10 plus years lol. But it is a very nice design.
