  1. ATC: you’re #2, runway 23 clear for landing. There’s a Fokker 1 mile on final. Do you see him?
Me, anxiously waiting for this moment: I have the Fokker in sight.

  2. Wow… looks like you don't know much about aviation mate… You can't say "There was never really a successful Fokker plane". Fokker has been highly successful before WWII (I know, it was a long time ago but it's fair to assess this company during its whole existence don't you think?). Fokker also produced really good airplanes from the 60s to the 80s, like the F27, F50 and F100, and those planes have been quite successful. So you can't summarize Fokker by looking on a single ugly airplane.

  3. Swiss001: Ignores Fokker's huge success during WW1, the 1920's, 1930's, and their post-war modern civilian aircraft that are still flying, the F27, F28, F50, F70, F100

Fokker: Am I a Joke to You?

  4. The VFW614 was ahead of its time…a true regional jet, before regional jets! And the pylon/engine over wing design is copied by the Honda Jet.

BTW, the F-27 was a huge success by Fokker.
