As lawyers have said, cannabis wasn't legalized, it was re criminalized, in order to turn it into a corporate monopoly. That's exactly why they have made the laws as they are. Police have more powers to enter homes without court orders, to take your possessions, just like the US did in their war on drugs. It's about corporate power, that's it. Canada is run by and for corporations, from fossil fuels to fish farms and pot shops. It's about control of profits to the hands of the 1%. The shops that are corporate owned will have the worst quality with the most chemicals. Hold out for small local quality shops. Multinational corporations want to control all businesses everywhere, they are a pox on the earth.
The interviewers lack of compassion leaves me shaking my head. They act as if you are the problem instead of the victims of this massive stupidity at the hands of an uncaring federal, provincial, and what really hurts, city government.

Why would the chief license inspector need to conduct negotiations if the proper permits for legal distribution of cannabis were readily available. This inspector should just hand them the papers they need and accepting them when they're filled out. Best of wishes for the Emery's
