You present an interesting hypothesis, but I suspect that most of the hostility stems from the fact that vaping is, at heart, a grass-roots PEOPLE's movement. No major pharmaceutical companies were involved in its invention, development, and subsequent growth; no medical societies were consulted and asked to confer their god-like blessing on it. The very idea of hatred (or perhaps envy?) developing on the basis of a mere plant's location of origin, well, it rather boggles. (And what about other native American plants, such as tomatoes and potatoes, which are of the nightshade family, just like tobacco? How might that relate?)

Tobacco, molasses and rum created this country. I just took American history 1 and learned all about that.
Deep, honest and insightful. Tobacco grew America in so many ways, this is why THEY are fighting so hard to keep it and undermine vaping.
