I think the internet will never be satisfied with rewind because rewind will never, ever reflect what the internet is. YouTube's become a much more, I suppose, commercialized platform. Back when Youtube was great (#MakeYouTubeGreat), we had kid's channels and everything we have now, but it was less censored; Youtube is now TV, it can't point out and glorify the things people actually go to YouTube for. They're not going to celebrate drama channels and controversial topics and all that. So because of that, Youtube rewind will always come across as lame and too "family friendly". I for one am happy with their approach and I think they should go the spotify route. But making one huge product for ALL of the internet. It's not going to happen.

Isn't Shiloh the ex who while having a mental breakdown; he filmed, edited, uploaded, and made a profit off of? You know that video that makes you physically ill due to watching some poor young woman being put through literal hell by some psycho.
I really really feel like not enough people are mentioning the fact that sarah said that they would all have sex together while GREGS 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS ASLEEP IN BED WITH THEM and that they would often have to stop because she would wake up, so that THEY COULD GET HER BACK TO SLEEP AND THEN CONTINUE HAVING SEX WHILE THE CHILD WAS IN THE BED WITH THEM. This sickens me to my core and so far no one has mentioned it. That has to be some sort of abuse and if it isnt it should be.
Again, it was shit and imo out of touch. They just went of facts and stats and not the culture and emotion of youtube. lots of people use youtube and give lots of views but do not invest into youtube or watch YT rewind, and this is all the crap they watched… All the NORMIE stuff and not the propper youtube stuff that actual people watch who enjoy youtube if you get me.
It would be awesome if youtube kept this style of rewind and did a similar thing to Spotify. Seeing everything I watched and what I like the most/how many hours I spend with one creator, that would be awesome! I honestly didn't hate this years rewind, felt inclusive.
YouTube Rewind from 2018 and 19 is like a foul tasting ice-cream having its sugar removed. Yes, it technically solves the problem, but it's so bland and uninspired that it loses any sort of notability or flare and lost in its averageness.
He thinks hes playing everybody. They are "acts" (although behind closed doors he is very much having a meltdown) but due to the views he is taking advantage while he can for money so again. Thinks he is the top of his game… His latest video is him trying to get people to refer to him as the joker by asking not to while planting a seed as it gives him power in his mind to be infamous as this unravels and he loses his grip of control so trying to claim something back I believe. As he has done numerous skits mimicking the joker. A very long time ago I told him he should try acting as his maniacal "acting" in that was good. I'm not sure if he saw that comment but it's what hes now doing. Very odd. But I'm afraid hes snowballing without his own awareness now. He thinks hes acting. But I believe it to be very close to turning ugly in god knows what kind of way. Money is his only "win" and notoriety. So hes over egging the pudding not realising hes probably not aware that that in itself is a bizarre reaction to serious allegations affecting his wife and 2 children.. he is a father. That's terrifying to me.
French person here, not protesting in the streets because I am afraid to get hurt there but still have an opinion on the reform. My main concern about the “point” calculus is that we don’t know how much a point is valued. Is their value gonna change overtime? I am 25, every month I have roughly 25% of my pay check going to taxes mainly to pay for pension funds, so does this give me the same amount of point that a person that only have 10% of their pay check? It is worth noticing that the “yellow vest” (gilet jaune) have been rioting for over a year now, so it is pretty tense atm, not sure that now was the best time to introduce changes in the system that way. Hospital has been short staffed for 5 years I would say, but it is getting more and more critical every day
Also so far in Lyon, we are pretty good in gas, not so much shortages to declare.

I must say that even if you and I seem really different (you, the capitalist, and I, not at all, to sum it up quickly 😉 I really enjoyed how you treated the info about the protests in France and the general context. A fair and balanced summary (even if from my standpoint, it was not 'left-biased" enough 😉
This was not 'journalism", yet somehow it was more decent than a lot of media outlets out there.

it’s the end of the decade. it would have been cool to do a recap of the past 10 years like they did with the 10 year youtube rewind. bring back all the people we used to watch. idk i think that would have been a lot better. rewind peaked then
I can't get over the fact that onision thinks he's important enough to ask 10, 000$ for any interview. But then again without his pateron he's of course going to ask for a ridiculous amount of money to hopefully still pay back the IRS 😂
I’m kinda sick of people getting so angry at youtube rewind all the time. I can totally understand why they did what they did this year — cause they’re definitely in a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. Everybody gets so angry about EVERYTHING these days. Like get the fuck over it
it was not better nor worse, they did a top 10, wich i thought was a trailer for the youtube rewind, little to my suprise that was youtube rewind. They should ask youtubers to help them with what is good or not. they should not ask youtubers like pewdiepie ,but smaller youtubers that have time to watch other and dont have youtube as a job. this is how you would know if it is good.
Rewind 2019 wasn’t a rewind, it was a google lookback video or a watch mojo. If they’d labelled it differently I think people wouldnt care so much but saying Rewind promises a level of production that they failed on, so now they have 2+ million dislikes
