For me, Buttigieg's fellow reservist, Mr. Gary's words were telling and impactful. And then of course, Pete's speech are the two most important componets. Just my thoughts for what it's worth.
Inspiring, thorough, passionate, and relatable. Pete at his most presidential and compassionatee. The only thing missing is ending the practice of deporting veterans: regardless of the crimes they might have committed (often in direct connection to trauma they suffered while serving), no one should ever be kicked out of a country which they have laid their lives on the line fighting for.
Great speech! Growing up in a military family where my dad served for 20 years, this is a candidate who knows what he's talking about when it comes to veterans, what it means to serve and how that impacts people, families and lives. Thank you Pete!
