  1. My family is Occonaluftee Indian… we called it bright eye or eye puccoon. When I was young.. we would find it in areas we called the shamans den where our Native people planted with other medicine plants like a medicine pharmacy. I would also find it around really old home structures where those who lived there probably planted it around for medicine when needed.

  3. I wish you would have told if there is a lookalike plant because we have some in our woods that looks almost identical but the flower part grows up on its own stem. Thanks for all the great information!

  4. Hi Adam! I enjoy your videos so much & I've learned, learned, learned!!!! LOVE IT! OK, I also live in (Central) Pennsylvania and the ticks are ridiculous . . . I see you in the woods on these videos & wonder, what do you use for tick repellent?

  5. *Ah, the mythical Goldenseal root, that used to be sold at High Times magazine and elsewhere, as a "miracle dirty urine cleaner to help you ace that upcoming drug test". I never used it, because during the time I was on 1 years probation, I chose a different miracle urine cleaning strategy. I quit using drugs! Then, during my 2nd term of urine tests, I finally quit drugs permanently. That was in late 2002. I would warn people to avoid these 'miracle drug use evidence erasers'. They probably won't work. *

I don't take pharmaceutical drugs I manage my COPD with natural remedies and herbal supplements along with diet. So, it's common that I will sometimes get infections, which hinders my breathing.
