I just do not believe there is POVERTY in the U.K.. Poverty is relative; just how poor are these people ?? Compared to some tribal Negros in Africa, these people have a house, TV, cell phone, etc. What do they want???
Not being biased but girls as such young ages don’t get knocked up randomly and live on their own here in Saudi Arabia.not mentioning alcohol and drugs.we aren’t like what you hear about us in the news.i really do hope these girls get better with their life though.
Watching these kinds of stories regardless of the country… makes it really hard to argue that anyone that gives birth to a child should actually be a parent we simply ewend up with more of the same and most of the time even worse in society they get angrier, less educated always benefit entitled never self-supporting give birth to their own earlier and earlier… It's 7 years since this was filmed, bet if there was an update on these folks, thye are the same but most likely way worse off.

I understand they could be fakes, gifts, or previously owned etc., but personally, I'd rather not try to appear like I could afford them. Possibly those items are her favorite and make her happy, but it seems pointless to hold onto something so flashy and expensive when the family is struggling with money. Even if that scarf and hoodie are her only means of staying warm, I'd sell my designer items in favor of practicality.
For some reason there’s comfort in knowing that poor white people are the same no matter where they live in the world. Whether it’s a trailer park in the USA, so-called “low rentals” (public housing) in Canada or council housing here in the video, you could transplant any of these folks and the only tell would be their accent.
Shelby has a good head on her shoulders, she has her priorities straight and shea not afraid of working harder..I really hope she gets a chance, she can really make something of herself
a few things: I think the only legitimately messy one is Bridie, Amber's room is being remodeled so of course her things are all throughout the house until they can be put back in. Shelby's flat in general looks like it shouldn't be housing any people and obviously no one painted or did the floors for her to move in. I highly doubt the walls are her doing. And she has very little too. the dialects, britain, like other countries, has different dialects depending on where you go, kinda like how the US has southern accents. Also I really hope the best for all these girls, I'm of the opinion that even if you smoke and drink you still deserve to be able to eat and live decently. You're still a person with needs even if you're an addict. Come on people. This coming from someone from a family of alcoholics.
