  1. My mom has been taking Keppra for 12 years now and has only had a seizure once in that entire time. She used to get seizures around 3 to 4 times a week. She literally CAN'T live without it. It's so weird how it doesn't work for some people because for her, it was the miracle that she needed in her life for so long. I'm so surprised at the comments and how many people had bad experiences with it!!

  2. My older sister also takes keppra, we’ve noticed that if she misses a dose she gets a seizure. I remember her having an allergic reaction to a medication that the hospital gave her after falling and busting her head during a seizure. I believe it was called Dilantin. It gave her really big blisters & made it painful during urination. It was so bad they moved her to the burn unit at the hospital. I can’t imagine going through all this. My heart goes out to all those who are fighting to be seizure free. You guys are warriors❤️😩

  3. All of the good vibes and responses you are receiving on this video I say ‘Ditto!’ I too suffer seizures and have been on the keto diet for several months. And I’m happy to tell you that if you can consume dairy (which I’m aware your Mom can not) you can still eat pizza and ice cream!!!😃😋. You’re such an inspiration to us all!

  4. Im taking 2000mg of keppra and 100mg of vimpat. My doctor prescribed me carbamazepine when my chest and throat feels tight or contraction feeling. But my body doesnt like carba. It feels like everything is floating and i get so afraid of everything.

  5. I just recently started following your channel and seen your videos , oh it just breaks my heart seeing what you go through and still stay so positive , you focus on the big picture and I am so proud of you !!!! I don’t know you but damn I’m so proud !!

  6. Your so sweet. I watched your most recent grand Mal seizure after 3 days not having one. I prayed throughout the whole video, and I hope your body, mind and spirit are doing much better. I hear there isn't a cure yet, but the Lord can do anything. He can heal anybody. Praying for you, friend.

  7. I was on Keppra for 5 years. Those 5 years were the darkest years of my life. I took 1000 mgs and in turn it made me extremely depressed. I had to get off of it because it was causing suicidal thoughts 😩 I am now on Vimpat with no side effects 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

  8. I just found your channel and you are so strong for showing your journey. I wish you the best getting off of your medications. A great alternative is CBD and they have so many options to choose from. Bath bombs to ease muscles, lotions, creams, balms, tinctures, vitamins, and so much more! It can also help better with the detoxing. During a detox while cutting the MG of medication activated charcoal may end up absorbing what little you are taking completely, so CBD may help get you through it better without having any affects on the medication that needs to stay in your system until you have completely stopped. After you have finished taking medication all together on the last day then start the charcoal again and that will better absorb the remaining in your system and not make you sick in the process. I wish you the best of luck in getting seizure free and living a happy healthy lifestyle!! 💕

  9. You are gorgeous! I think you should be a model.Thank you for sharing your journey. My father has seizures as well and watching you be open and motivated inspires people to keep pushing forward. Thank you for being a blessing !

  10. I have epilepsy. I used keppra but it didn't work for me. I had a really high temper and got mad easily. So I was switched to lamictal, which is what I'm on now. I understand what you're going through. Stay strong❤️

  11. Have you ever tried CBD oil? I grew up with my father having epilepsy he had a grand mal seizures quite often.. I no longer takes any of his epilepsy medication and only uses CBD oil drops.. and if he notices that a seizure is going on he will take the drops and it usually stops the seizures within seconds.. I know everybody’s body is different but it’s definitely worth trying something natural..

  12. Careful, because it takes 48 hours for keppra to get out of your system so if you wean off too fast you could end up with grand mals. You should really wean off with your neurologist's help. I tried what you did and had status epilepticus and almost died.

  13. I am no doctor or anything. I have seizures my self been seizure free for 6 years. I take Zonisomide 100 MG 2 capsules before bed. My suggestion talk to your doctor. I do not regulate my diet even though I should. I work, I drive. I have a 3 year old son as well.

  14. I know you want to be seizure free and I want you to be too but changing the dose of your medication on your own without talking to your dr first is a baaaad idea! When you do have a seizure it will be a doozy and it could be much worse because you aren't on the proper dosage. You poor girl! I want to much to see you seizure free but not reduce your meds just on your own. I hope you are ok
