Selling cookies in front of a Pot Dispensary??? We were Scout leaders……I would say yes, but know the more constrained old bats would say NO. We got Scouts who had left scouting because all they were taught was how to be constrained old ladies, learning great skills, such as how to fold a towel. Who Cares! WE bought our cookies by the truckful since all the leaders and most of our Moms worked at least full time. We stored them in the living room of our big estate home, my older son was living there at the time going to the college across the street…………Bosco Tech and all the Punk band fans and friends of my sons who were in Punk bands came by and bought cases. My big brother, who was a doctor also bought cases of cookies. The parents did come out and do the front of the bank, front of the market sales booths, but also bought cases for their business coffee rooms, or employee lounges…………..Dave always brings fun memories to mind. Whatever was left, my older son had to buy, his Aunt would come in, say, sales are over, and ask for a check, load the cookies into her car and donate them to veterans, senior homes, and foster kid programs…………My older son has never forgotten the $750 year. He started to make sure his friends and relations came by and bought LOTS of cases before the last day of sales. Most of those people are now older and have medical cards for the pot dispensary to stop pain from broken bones over the years…………..and they STILL buy cookies, at the market, or in front of the dispensary or where ever……………..

It's your fault that I'm a singer, so it's no wonder that you have evolved into my therapist. I don't know how many people would ever say this…….but YOU don't talk enough. More!….More!…More!
DLR and VH were the cultural architects of the 1980s. Music, music video, fashion, sound, humor, dancing, and on and on….as a kid it seemed like VH was the sun and everything else was a planet revolving around it. These podcasts give a lot of insight into how and why. Thanks, Dave! Keep rolling out the knowledge;)

Not so dark anymore, so figured I better restock my DLR vinyl discography (the other ones into the early 90s are tougher to come by as is the case with most any original pressing from that era), as CDs were temporarily phasing out that format for a period of time as is the case with all formats… I'm ramblin' but stoned in a beautiful happy way, so have a great day.
