Did you just say "It doesn't make sense to cure HIV when there is a powerful drug to keep it at bay"? Are you even listening to yourself? Well, I guess it can't be helped as a doctor to recommend patients to constantly take medication and continue spending their hard-earned money instead of curing the disease.

There's another problem… If there's a select few people with a Delta32 mutation, then, in order to gather enough of the mutation to synthetically reproduce it, one of two things will have to happen…
1. Living people will have to be demoted to test subjects, undergoing bone marrow abstraction in the name of science.
2. Those same people would live their lives with the thought in thw back of their minds that a team of scientists and doctors are just waiting for them to die in order to disect them like lab rats…
I really must hand it to those involved in finding cures for resisting these two options.
If that person has a mutation that makes them almost immune to hiv I'd start thinking that's a mutation of evolution making us immune to hiv… I mean.. anything is possible
