I have bonded thousands of boy guinea pigs. There is so much to it, that one video on two boys is not going be enough to really get a decent grasp of it.
I don't even own a Guinea pig but wow love all the information n I've learned alot n there so cute but Guinea pigs hate me I always get bitten from them
We have 2 males named Scotch and Smore they are brothers. We have had them since they were 4 weeks old and they just turned 4 years old. They use to do this humping and chattering of teeth alot but now only once in a while. They both are still really healthy and active.
XD I just bonded two boys. Oh my gosh! It took my younger pig days to stop challenging my older pig. They get along now and the younger one even calls for my older guy when I separate them for any reason.
I had that same playpen for my Guineas, it is claimed to be good for Guinea Pigs and Hamsters, but it's really a Hamster playpen and not for Guinea Pigs. … It is more risky to use when you use it on a higher surface or unattended for any amount of time… I found this out when I was cleaning up my Guineas' cages a few feet away from their playpen and my one Guinea Pig hopped right out of it… Luckily my daughter was there to catch her and ensure her safety, though,I've always kept their playpen on the floor, it still could have been a very risky situation as she could have gone under the bed or chewed the television wires, etc. … I immediately bought a taller playpen…
I have a Male and he’s been alone for over a year (he’s 2 years old and his cage mate passed away not long after I got him). I know guinea pigs are sociable and I’ve noticed he’s becoming really bored/lonely and trying to interact with the rabbits. Is it to late to introduce another guinea pig? I wanted to get another boar? Please help me, I don’t know what to do and I feel bad for him
I got my 2 boys together as babies. They were already bonded. I noticed after a few weeks they started to do this and it would go on for along time and we would have to separate them. Then they were the best of friends. But this went on for awhile the first year. Now one died 3 months ago and we are bringing a new one home tomorrow. I hope they bond well!
So do all guinea pigs rape each other or is it just the boys?
(This is a joke but I’m also serious i wanna know if I should get boys or girls if only the boys hump each other I’ll get the girls but if they both hump it doesn’t matter)
Edit: I want to know bc it would be easier not to explain to my mom why are guinea pigs are raping each other.
Wow… I never see somthing like this. I once have 3 Boys and they never so somthing like this. Maybe because they are young as they start living together. (Sorry for my Englisch)
What do I do if I adopt a guinea pig from relatively far from my home and I introduce it to my current guinea a pig when we get home and they don’t like each other? I’m hoping to get another guinea pig for my guinea pig at home but I’m afraid that they won’t get along and I won’t know what to do because I’m getting this other guinea pig from a rescue in LA from my cousin and I live in San Diego
Can they meet each other through the bars of a cage ? I've done it this way before before I put them in together. it's also how I introduce a new horse. (over a fence for a couple weeks)
Hello, i have a 3yo rescued boar who we adopted to accompany our former gp that has passed over the rainbow bridge. Former gp was another boar, he was very submissive but Chia (the aggressive boar) would try to bite him anytime they would try to roam free. I thought they’d share the space but i ended up having to keep the agressive one in the cage and other one roaming free. They both were easy to litter train and learning to respond to me. 2 years later things did not go very well for the former guine pig and we lost him at the age of 4. Since then i’ve been trying anyone who has a guinea pig to come visit me because i’d like to believe the issues he had with my former guinea pig were just because these two weren’t a match. However i’ve made Chia meet males, females, and baby (well like 2.5 month old gp) guinea pigs and his only action was trying to bite them. He hates them. A little background we know of him is that he was bought from a breeder by a mom for her kids, sadly kids were rude to him and he bit them, so the mother beats the guinea pig… And puts up an adoption sign online, which leads to another lady adopting him from her. This lady might have paid more effort, but he was traumatised, i mean mentally. He was so scared. And this lady very sadly was a cat breeder so the cats would always poke their paws to his cage which made his shyness even worse. I was told he bites when i adopted him but he never bit me. We have a special bond which may sometimes cause him to teeth chatter to the guests if they talk a lot to me and i can’t interact w him for some time. I foster animals like cats dogs and rabbits from time to time and he does not bite them but i can say he feels much happier when fosters leave. We got him castrated by the way. He’s a 24/7 free roam, and looks like one of the happiest rodents i’ve had. I’ve started to think he might be an exception to the fact that all guinea pigs need gp friends. Have you encountered one like this? I’d reeeaaally love to hear your opinion on this. Lots of thanks for what you do. 💖
Hi, can you make a female bonding video and possibly bonding 2 separate female pairs? I have 2 pairs of females living separately and would like to introduce them to make a 4 pig herd but I am nervous about it because they are dominant and can be aggressive towards each other. What is surprising to me is that the submissive females appeared to be more aggressive towards the new pigs.
I have 4 boys together but my first Guinea pig (2 years old) and my 2nd older pig (1 year old) were together for almost a year but suddenly my 2nd older pig attack my oldest pig. I don't understand why helpp
I feel like she was interfering way too much. There’s no need to separate them with a blanket unless there’s blood or serious fights. Just let them get on with it.
it's a back and forth with boys. I have two boys, they are brothers from the same litter. Every day they have moments when they chase each other around and try to top each other. At first I was concerned, but now it looks more like they are playing and I think it's good for them to get that energy out anyway.
I have 2 boars. Been together for 18 months now. Adopted them as babes together. One is very bold the other very meek. In the last week the bold one has become obsessed with the other. To the point that the meek one has tried to stay in his hide house the entire week. Cannot come out to eat or drink and sometimes the bold one can be found laying inside the hide house on top of him. I ended up separating them unless supervised. When together supervised the bold one continually humps the meek one as he tries to crawl through the bars to escape. 🙁 when separate (cages are side by side) the bold one tries climbing the bars chewing the bars everything trying to get to him. Meek one is finally feeling like he can move around. What can I do? Thanks. Love your videos.
my guinea pigs around 10 months but he's been alone this whole time, if i buy another male thats like 2 months old, will it be bad?
I have a boy now and want to get him a friend. Is it better to get another boy or get a female? I have had him for less than a year. Please help!
That s why 2 males are complicated..that s definitely not a hand shaking..they re fighting to copulate.

Its cruel. The one pig is terrified.

my pigs took 1hr to quiet down. i actually think these 2 would have bond if take 30mins or an hr.
Can u bond two babies boys
Can you recommend a good water bottle? I have purchased several different kinds and they all seem to leak.
Best way – get a little baby male for a grown up male. The big one will take the little one in as his little bro in no time!

I think it was a match.
U must be careful with that run on the table thing because me piggies are smaller and they can climb over that
You did SO many things wrong with the intros !!!!
0:54 never ever put your fingers there while introducing guinea pigs you can get seriously hurt

Could bonding my 10 month old boy with a baby boy be a succes? Or is a adult better
