Explore how marijuana’s two main active compounds, THC and CBD, affect your brain and body, and what risk factors to watch out for. — In 1970, marijuana was …
I don't say this enough, but I love the narrator's voice. It's so calming that even on speaker, my baby doesn't get startled or wake up while I'm nursing. π
I smoked pot around 15 for a few years, generally daily, before school, after school… literally couldn't imagine my life without it. Slowly i started to suffer from depersonalization, it would come for a few weeks, go, come, go until age 18 where i descended into 24 / 7 unremitting depersonalization . Ended up unable to function and slept on my nanas floor for two years. Finally i learned to cope with the depersonalize feeling and got on with life. I still have it though 15 years later . This certainly would not have happened, or affected me to the degree it did without my pot abuse.
I would like to see a follow up video to this on how recreational legalization in some countries like Canada has affected this. By bringing it under the law, the levels of CBD and THC can be regulated, especially to reduce THC which is commonly know as the much more dangerous compound. It has also reopened the field of research into marijuana and we are finally getting a lot better reliable data and more studies are coming out on how marijuana can specifically affect people, which empowers law and policy makers to make effective decision on what ways marijuana needs to be regulated and in what ways is it perfectly fine if not useful.
Personally I would add that some people end up having uncontrolled anger issues if they are regular uses. I have known 4 regular uses throughout my life and they all showed anger management issues (I got stabbed by one of them).
I dont think we should fully legalise weed but it should be a prescription drug, where it can be regulated safely. (Also it shouldnt be smoked as it stinks to high heaven and has additional problems)
Personaly experienced delayed perception of my own movements in space and perception of time passing. I could move around fin but my awareness of it was delayed.
I'm extremely introverted and marijuana makes it even worse and leaves me extremely paranoid. I would say if you're shy don't even think about using it especially in social situations.

I find the narrator's voice really irritating! Makes me want stop watching the videos. Change the narrator or add subtitles, so that I can mute it.

Definitely what I smoked in my youth is not the recreational weed people smoke nowadays which has a much higher content of THC. I won't touch it.
