From the looks of TOTK ‘s trailers, this ability should prove very useful. BOTW comes with many boulders that players can roll at enemies, and vice versa. This ability to phase through solid matter looks like it will be very useful in Link’s adventure through Hyrule. Though it doesn’t seem like it will have many applications in combat, it could have a great many in traversal and puzzle solving, and can help improve BOTW ‘s exploration in the sequel . Link’s new arm glows green while he uses this, so it would appear that this will be one of its features instead of something he has to pick up in the world like a weapon, though it may still have its limitations. Players may only be able to use it in the floating islands, for example, or only to travel vertically and not horizontally through walls. A new detail in Nintendo ‘s latest TOTK trailer, also hosted on YouTube, may also have shown another limitation; Link carries capsules on his waist that are lit up the same color as the green that accompanies this ability, so it’s possible that they’re a consumable power source that he will need in order to use
There are many enemies from Zelda ‘s past that could come to TOTK . Some of them could fit in very well and should make an appearance, while others might be better off excluded. Tears of the Kingdom ‘s darker themes compared to Breath of the Wild might be a sign that the creepier and macabre enemies of Zelda will come. The floating islands also could mean that more flying enemies will come to BOTW , both new ones and those from past games. There’s also smaller side objectives such as Hestu’s quest for Koroks in BOTW , which don’t have markers to guide players and sometimes may not even have rewards for completing them. If Zant does appear in BOTW 2 , he could become an antagonist again. How big of a villain he would be is hard to predict, but it can be inferred based on what’s been revealed so far. The first trailer for Breath of the Wild 2 , as seen on Nintendo ‘s YouTube channel, showed a glimpse of who is presumably the main antagonist, a withered mummy believed – but not confirmed – to be Ganon sealed away deep beneath Hyrule; whether it is Ganon or not, the role of the main villain appears to be filled, so Zant doesn’t seem likely to be more than a secondary villain.
