Tucson really has an impressive choice of dispensaries. My home state of MI has had a MMJ program for a few years and just recently became a rec state, yet there are hardly any dispensaries and depending on where you live, not easy or convenient to get to. In Tucson, you’ll find that Almost all of our local dispensaries here in Tucson offer online ordering, phone pre-orders, pick-up and delivery. They have high standards for who they hire to work in dispensaries – nearly all of the budtenders I’ve talked to and worked with are upbeat, friendly and knowledgeable. I was lucky enough to have friends who were already acquainted with the MMJ system in Tucson and they gave me suggestions to start. After I discovered Leafly and Weedmaps, I looked at customer reviews and became familiar with the range of products that each had through online menus and going to each one to check them out. I’ve had mostly positive experiences, and not enough negative to leave a bad review anywhere. I hope you have the same experience and enjoy dispensary-hopping! I’m going to outline some of my favorite things about each of the dispensaries I’ve frequented in Tucson.
Downtown Dispensary:They always have such a great selection and a wide variety of strains in flower, cartridges/vapes, concentrates (“dabs”) and edibles. They have curbside pickup, offer delivery and their online ordering system is very straight forward. I order from Downtown Dispensary quite often, and there are several things I just love them for! First: if you love to dab, you MUST try their new Lumen and Magma concentrates that came out a couple months ago! The Lumen and Magma concentrates by iLava (Downtown’s awesome brand) are probably the most potent and flavorful I’ve ever had and they rip smooth. Another cool thing about Downtown is that their website now lets you see test results and terpene profiles for each of their strains – it’s pretty impressive! Botanica: First of all, they offer Pax Pods, which are my FAVORITE cartridges of all time. Another thing Botanica has going for them is that ALL of their flower is top shelf! The flower is pre-packed into 1/8 bags and they have sample jars for customers to smell and look at the buds before making a selection. This dispensary is one of the best looking and most comfortable to be in, too! They recently started growing their own flower and the growers there are very talented. Earth’s Healing: Earth’s Healing has two different locations and offers a large variety of different products, including my beloved Pax Pods! They offer online ordering with pickup, phone orders for delivery, and contact-free Alt36 payment. They give you an estimated time and call you within an hour to make sure everything is correct. Grassp: These guys are a delivery service associated with Green Halo, and they’re awesome! They sell products from High Grade, MPX, Green Halo, Select, and more. What I love about Grassp is that when you place an order, someone calls you very soon after and gives you a time estimate, which in my experience has always been under 2 hours. Try a few! At every dispensary they offer SOME kind of New Patient Special – this can be a discount, a free pre-roll (which is a joint, for those of you who are just joining the Tucson Cannabis Club ^-^ ). There are often military and student discounts, so be sure to ask about those or check their website.
