  1. UPDATE/TECHNICAL CORRECTION:
COVID-19 = Disease caused by the novel coronavirus (named by WHO)
SARS-CoV-2 = Actual NEW name for the virus (named by ICTV)
Apologies for the confusion and misspeak on my part!

  2. Imho putting it into relation with other diseases just because their mortality rate is higher is a simplified if not downright useless perspective. Ebola, for instance, is pretty well confined to some african countries with outliers. The problem with SARS-CoV-2 is not just its potential outcomes, but also the lack of control we have over its spreading.

  3. The mask shortage is a real problem. People need to stop being so paranoid, I was working on a construction site to help out a friend for a week on a big project he needs done and there are no masks left for painters and workers. We had to share the half a dozen the workers had personally because every store within 5 hours driving distance was out of masks. Four months was the earliest they could get masks in.

People's panic is causing trouble for people who legitimately need masks…

  4. My boss is OBSESSED with talking about the corona virus and is making everyone panicked. He literally doesn't stop talking about it and he's always on his phone googling it.

  5. Today i almost got infect by COVID-19 (am a thai student)
Today my school is checking every student in my school they found a student that got infect by COVID-19 they decided to not tell the students until after the break they as i writing this am waiting for the doctor for a check

  6. I hope you have an update video for tomorrow because there's a lot of scary stuff being thrown around and I'd appreciate a level-headed run down!

  7. Also important to note, of those who have died, 80% were above the age of 60 and 75% of those individuals had pre-existing medical conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Essentially if you are young and not immune-compromised you are going to most likely be ok.

  8. Okay, so in my hometown, where I don't live anymore, but my parents do, there was the 1st case of Sars-Cov-2 in Germany. The man is dying right now. May I now panic at least a lil bit? 😅
