The MOST controversial shoe in decades. Do the Vaporflys provide an unfair advantage? In this video I put these shoes through several tests, dissect them, and …

  2. Hello. I'm a TV reporter of news channel(YTN) of S.Korea. Would it be okay to use this video. I want to use the scene of dissecting the Vaporfly.

  3. After running these shoes for a few months, it’s pretty clear they have some sort of mechanical advantage. The easiest way to tell? Bend the toe of the shoe back and let it go. It feels like it has some progressive spring effect. It definitely helps your foot “push off”. They aren’t my favorite shoes or my most comfortable but they are my fastest.

  4. I stopped buying Nike shoes since I noticed they fell apart the worst. Especially the tread coming off. My New Balance last better. I recommend 890 v5, I bought 8 pairs and I'm still OTM about them. BUT the general rule, to ones own, choose a mobile phone.

  5. Why would a spring give an advantage? He knows nothing about physics.
Then what does matter? When the shoe sole is pushed and released, some part of the energy is transferred into heat. Also every oscillating (moving) part wastes energy too. The third source is very obvious, it is the weight. Hence we want stiff and light shoes for running! The problem is, they must be comfortable as well.

  6. This video is so funny. As a former world class masters runner from the 70's 80's 90"s ,I agree 100% that the world class marathon runners of today shaved off 2 minutes from there best times by wearing this runner.Let's see what Seb Coe, and the governing body say about this shoe.Is it cheating or not? To me it is not cheating as there is no drugs involved. If the top runners in the world all wear this runner how can they say it is cheating. It is the digital age folks,so get used to it.Great video laddy.I am still breaking up in laughter.

  7. Cool to see the shoe cut open, but there was nothing scientific about this test at all. Personally, when I run, my heart rate starts off higher and then comes down a little as I warm up, so I would get the same HR result regardless of the shoe. There are so many variables here. Too many.

  8. Hey Nick, I know this is a off chance and you don't know me. My name is Jasyn, I live in Hawaii and have dedicated myself to run the Honolulu Marathon in Dec 2020. I've never ran a marathon and the furthest I have ever ran in my life when I was in better shape in the military was 10 miles. My question for you is, do you have a run plan that you can share with me so that I can better prepare myself for the marathon? Thanks for the video!

  9. NIKE revenue for the twelve months ending November 30, 2019 was $40.781B, a 7.05% increase year-over-year…..YOU SHOULD NOT BE PAYING OVER 200.00 FOR ANYTHING NIKE.
