It's funny how in the uk we name food so different. This is a stee in the uk. A pot roast is it all cooked without a gravy the gravy made seperate & the potatoes peeled & cooked separate. That looked lush though the thing missing is dumplings but that's if u were cooking a stew. Xxx
Mix corn starch with cold water, it becomes smooth. Won’t leave lumps in the gravy. I save some of my beef broth about a 1/2 cup in the fridge and take out to mix the cornstarch with.
The rice crust is the best part! It’s yummy. I put it into chicken broth with soy sauce, Chinese wine or a touch of sherry, fresh ginger, fresh garlic and a pinch of 5 spice. Putin some cabbage or book choy or broccoli. It’s wonderful as a simple soup.
That bottom crust of the rice is the most delicious part! There are several ethnicities that cook their rice that way on purpose including Spain. People fight over that crusty rice Indonesia they make scorched rice tea from it even though it's not actually scorched it's brown.

I'm in the UK and I'm not even sure we have condensed soup like I see in American recipes (I've certainly never seen them/heard of them being used) so I'm always curious what these recipes taste like, it seems to be a common ingredient
I have 6 kids and im the only parent and i follow ur recipes cause i work 12 hours a day and ur crockpot meals helped me so much and i take care of my kids with no help at all its me all the way i dont get government help or nothing but ive been doing it for 7 years and i love ur crockpot meals and i make ur freezer meals on weekends i just wanted to thank you so much ur wonderful person u showed me alot please dont stop i learned alot from u
Lol i hear Peter Brady saying "Porkchops n Applesauce"…i wonder if that quote made it so mainstream n popular…because it really is a great combo…Ik alot of kids nowadays are like whats the Brady Bunch…i grew up on the reruns in 80's…oh and we love Pegao..or crusty bottom of rice… when i make Arroz con gandules thats my fave part. Lol

Any stroganoff you have left would be delicious over baked potatoes. If all of the meat was gone, the gravy would still be amazing.

i know you know but you should try real beef stroganoff some time , its a bit more intensive cooking but well worth the effort
