How To Replace Troy Bilt Weed Wacker Line Replacing Weed Eater Wire Instructions
Guys, I’ve done this several times and have it down to a quick science now, so I made this video to share all the shortcuts I’ve learned with you so that you don’t …
Had called Troy-Bilt factory and they were unable to help me. This video helped me restring the string trimmer. Troy-Bilt needs to go back to the drawing board on these trimmer heads or provide a better description in the owner's manual. I regret purchasing this unit.
Appreciate this a ton: same issue, same model. Can't get the line to feed straight thru like it's supposed to. Head doesn't want to open after pushing in the side tabs- assuming it must be full of dirt/grass. If I ever get it off will be giving it a through cleaning inside.
I had acquired a used 4-Cycle Weed Eater with no manual. Although the string head illustrated in this video is different than mine the most important take away from here is this: After threading the line through the head into equal lengths, the head is turned COUNTER-CLOCKWISE to spool the line. All other videos say clockwise. This makes a huge difference! Thanks for the awesome video…….
Absolutely right. The two, upper and lower coils confused me. I wasnt thinking only one gets used depending on which hole you feed! The pulling with each turn is genius
THIS VIDEO is the BEST video on YOUTUBE…TY! I have a Troy-Bilt TB2044 XP and I almost threw it away today b.c I kept restringing it wrong….Wrong b.c I used their instructions that dont work……Your video was great as I tested it and it worked. THANK YOU!
So my problem is that it won't turn right so it won't start. The start pull is bad and can't seem to see what's with it since the two clamps inside look okay to me…any advice?
Mine refuse to feed but then just cutting the string at an angle and using pliers to force it through a little shimmying and Voilà it worked such a simple suggestion never thought of it- thank you
