It seems all our problems with drugs, both their promotion and their prohibition, come down to hate and selfishness. MDMA was banned because it was bad for the military industrial complex and now it's dangerous because suppliers are putting profits ahead of safety. Cocaine and marijuana were banned to facilitate racism and now dangerous people are using it to enrich themselves at the expense of others.
As someone who has done MDMA maybe 150 times in the last 5 years, i can tell you the benefits hugely outweigh the risks. Even recreational us of that drug is a thousand time better than alcohol.
