If you haven’t smoked weed from the government, it’s easy to say “oh my buddy sells ounces for $80”. All the weed I’ve got from the government have been unbelievably strong. I’ve consistently had it blow my mind.
I think the roll out of the system has been shaky and left a lot to be desired. But did you honestly expect a country wide change in law to go smoothly and be perfect right from go? I think the expectations, including yours, people have are way to high. I understand you’re dissatisfied, but so many people are immediately writing it off as shit because it wasn’t perfect from day 1. I think that ridiculous.
It’ll get better. It sucked in Washington for a while back in 2014. Nevada had issues when it opened legal stores, Colorado had issues. And those were just single states, Canada is doing it country wide.
I’m satisfied with it all, I was expecting the growing pains. I just think “it costs to much” and “it’s not good” are such hollow and meaningless complaints when bigger issues like pushing out small growers, disallowing anyone involved before the law change to participate in the new legal industry, closing down preexisting stores, having a rigged and money biased certification system, pushing out small business, and favouring large money back corporations are all looming over our heads.
However, I will agree on the packaging. It’s absurd, way to much material for how little is being put in it. The fact they didn’t even consider hemp plastic is stupid. I think this speaks to the issues of the government only allowing big corporations to get involved with legal weed. It doesn’t mesh with how most regular pot smokers think.
Thanks for sharing your opinions in this video, I enjoyed it. I just don’t personally think that the issues people on YouTube are talking about are valid really. So many more industry threatening issues than simply price and appearances of the weed itself.
