There was once upon a time in its infancy when hair dying among politicians and journalists, those that did were considered a pretentious fake, few can remember when that was, nobody said a word in opposition, now that it has become epidemic, it’s too late, would be like trying to put toothpaste back in the tube, as the phoney are now ruling the air ways in self marketing, it has become very hard to tell just who is telling a truth or are just falsifying an appearance, portraying themselves in that now-new phoney youthful favorable good looking appearance, even to those with a point of view be they politician, journalist or a know it all pundit, every body is doing it, so who cares…well I do…
How many “blond bombshells” must we have in Congress or anchoring the news on television before its stated, we have had enough…
Its no mystery to the current crop of marketing managers worth their salt, if you want to pitch product on television, go ‘blond’, the same can be claimed of news programing both on cable and broadcast networks…”hooray for Hollywood”…once again…
While searching my computer for an old posting, I stumbled upon my very first blog post on ‘appearance journalism’ of some two years ago, after reading it I concluded, instead of things getting better they have gotten much worse. Almost every newscast I encounter, I have to fight my way past sets of greasy red clownish lips, mounds of streaking dyed hair shades not found in nature, and most of all, are those 80year old Larry King types in their youthful hair dyes, its only after the fighting is all over am I able to comprehend the news as it is trying to be reported…
