Can you do a vid on the research on fiber that shows a decrease in mortality by all causes of around 7% for every 10 grams of fiber you add to your diet ? Can you talk about some of the massive studies that are going on now on fiber ?
Could you please do videos on cancer? I already know about ways to help prevent cancer, but I'm talking about possible ways to slow it down… I know there isn't much research on this…
I have no trouble meeting my RDA of fiber and I still eat meat. Studies show that consumption of eggs, lean meats, and low fat dairy doesn't clog your arteries at all. They've also shown that consumption of fish unclogs your arteries more than just plants alone.
Reversal is for young plaque not old. Most of the effects are better dilation rather than clearing so you have to be very meticulous about the diet and lifestyle. And short term improvements of dilation can easily disappear. So you have to have a very clear sense of the condition or you can get yourself in trouble.
CrystalTop Contributor: Sewing 5.0 out of 5 starsAmazing way to improve cardiac function February 29, 2016 Format: Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase I'm not sure why Amazon is carrying this book since it is geared more for the medical community. I am a retired Critical Care RN and I found some of the info to be over my head in spite of my training and education post graduation. That said, I have to say it is one of the most valuable books I've ever read. My husband has non-ischemic cardiomyopathy secondary to a viral infection. He's had some medical issues recently after a 7 yr benign course. All of his MDs have been amazed by his ability to carry on with his daily activities such as building a room on the house, bush-hogging acreage with his 40 HP tractor, taking care of 2 homes and a pecan orchard. He's never needed supplemental oxygen despite an ejection fraction of 20-25. I decided to have a look at what this doctor had to say. Most drugs given for this problem relate to the muscle function as a whole, not to the cellular function of the muscle tissue. This book addresses the cellular function. Those of you who took biology may remember the Krebs cycle as well as ATP and mitochondrial function. That's what this is all about.
Bottom line is that Dr Sinatra recommends 4 supplements to improve cardiac health: CoEnzyme Q10, l-carnitine, magnesium and d-ribose. My husband had been on CoQ10 since 1991 for oral health (his dentist died. New dentist looked at old chart & thought he was looking at a different patient). He has also been taking magnesium for 15 yrs or so. Both of these contributed, I feel, to the fact that he functions at a higher level than would be expected for his ejection fraction (the % of blood pumped out thru the aorta from the left ventricle of the heart). Normal EF is 55-65%. If you know someone who has difficulty functioning because of heart disease, this would be a good book to read and try the supplements. They are all over the counter and do not react with any prescription meds that I have been able to discover. I mentioned this book to one of my husband's MDs (nephrologist) and he wrote down the name of it and asked the nurse to order a copy for the office. There are many references in the book to various studies and the journals they were reported in. I checked some of them and all were exactly as quoted. I bought the Kindle version because it was cheaper but plan on getting a hard copy for other members of my family to read since I'm NOT loaning out my much loved Kindle!
UPDATE 4/22/16: I just found out from the nephrologist's office RN, a friend of mine, that he really did buy the book; read it and is now recommending the 4 supplements to all his pts who have cardiac disease. Since then I have purchased a complete set of the nutrients and had them sent to a close friend who also has cardiomyopathy from an MI. I will continue to make sure both hubby & friend stay on this combo as long as they are alive. Can't wait to see what Dec. scheduled ECHO will show on hubby.
UPDATE 12/31/2016: Just got back from Houston where hubby had another ECHO done. Reading by same MD as in Feb 2016 shows an increase of his Ejection Fraction to 30%. Prior ECHOs had all been about the same as listed above. This is the first improvement since 2009 when he was diagnosed. The only real change was the addition of the 4 nutrients. All the rest of his meds have been maintenance for many years. All I can say is that after 52 yrs of marriage, I'm not letting him get out of this marriage if I can help it! LOL
rsHow do I love thee PQQ? Let me count the ways! VITAL for cardiac patients. October 28, 2015 Verified Purchase How do I love thee PQQ? Let me count the ways!
My husband has severe congestive heart failure. So bad that in March 2008 I was told by a local electrophysiologist that I "don't understand you are taking your husband home to die… that he will be dead within 2 weeks, probably a few days." Well, being stubborn, I reached out to my friends who introduced me to the book Sinatra Solution by Cardiologist Dr. Stephen Sinatra, MD where we put Metabolic Cardiology to work. One of the keys in Metabolic Cardiology is co-enzymeQ10. We later learned about ubiquinol, then more recently about PQQ after experiencing significant cardiac decline thanks to overzealous use of fluoroquinolone antibiotics by several doctors. We discovered that FQ antibiotics are infamous for damaging mitochondrial DNA. Great. Just great. NONE of the medical professionals informed us of this issue, NONE of the medical professionals took ownership for helping him recover after he was once again seriously harmed at the hands of so-called medical professionals.
Once I uncovered the power of PQQ we put it to work. Within a few days it was quite evident that when he took QH+PQQ he was somewhat functional again, but when it had been more than 12 hours since a dose of QH+PQQ he was once again a nearly bedridden cardiac patient. The real truth was the day that we believe that ONLY due to taking 4 to 6 QH+PQQ a day, was he able to attend an MLB baseball game to watch our beloved Cardinals in action (see the included photo).
Ubiquinol is vital to the health of mitochondria for ATP production. The QH+PQQ is a GREAT source of these vital nutrients, particularly for cardiac patients and those wanting the very best energy production in their bodies.
Since we discovered PQQ we realized another problem – those FQ antibiotics also set the stage for other unwanted intestinal situations. Once we combined the QH+PQQ with intestinal support of Jarrow Forumulas Saccharomyces Boulardii + MOS along with Garden of Life Ultimate Care 34 strain probiotics the turnaround was quite remarkable. Bottom line, the more grave the situation, the more vital it is to try everything possible to support the heart and overall health. This is what we've been doing the past nearly EIGHT YEARS since he was given a grim prognosis, We're fully confident that given a few more weeks he'll be firmly back on his feet cardiac wise. We owe the credit for this remarkable turn around for our friend who introduced us to the Sinatra Books, Dr. Stephan Sinatra for publishing such vital information validating that yes, indeed, metabolic cardiology WORKS as well as the researchers and companies like Jarrow Formulas who bring the latest in nutrition science available to us.
Still wondering if PQQ is safe? PQQ is found naturally in beans, parsley, green tea, potatoes, fermented foods and more; human breast milk is one of the highest sources of natural PQQ.
Since learning about PQQ being naturally available in human breast milk (and the significance that one of the highest food sources of PQQ is in breast milk…) I've realized the significance that PQQ is likely vital for the infant to develop strong mitochondrial DNA particularly in the developing heart. I'm floored that I've never seen PQQ mentioned on an infant formula label…. perchance the increased usage of infant formula without PQQ be linked to the increasing rates of cardiovascular disease and muscular dysfunction common in today's western society? I'd like to see more research on this relevant topic.Â

They never show it and they never show the size of the pills or capsules in the advertising. They will show anything and talk about everything except this. So this is my main contribution. See the photos below.
I've been taking Co-Enzyme Q10 for decades, possibly for well over 25 years. First I’ll say this is a very good supplement and I will always continue to take it only in the form of Jarrow Formulas QH-Absorb, 200 mg Softgels. But do not be lulled into thinking it will cure everything about your heart, especially as you get older. In recent years, I started taking the QH version. It's difficult to ever know if the long term benefits are working for you or not. But better safe than sorry is my motto.
A few days before Thanksgiving 2016, I had sudden serious pain right in the middle of my chest – happened on three different days before the last one got my attention enough to go to the emergency room. The cardiologists thought it was a heart attack as well, but the enzymes in the blood tests said it wasn’t a heart attack. My personal cardiologist arrived at the hospital and decided to do a cardiac catheterization where dye is injected into the heart’s arteries to check for blockages or narrowing of my arteries. He was astonished to see my arteries were, in his words, remarkably clear. I said you mean for my age? No, he replied – for any age. No plaque at all.
Thanksgiving morning, the pain struck very bad, but the pain migrated downward toward my liver and I immediately knew what it was – gallstones stuck in the duct. The pain can feel like it’s in your chest, but it’s not. I had my gallbladder removed a month later and it was full of stones and sludge and two polyps – fortunately benign.
I grew up on a cattle ranch. I have no idea how many calves I’ve eaten, but a lot in my 73 years. I took Lipitor for years, until I learned of its shady past – research built upon manipulated data, mainly omissions on purpose. I stopped taking it immediately and strangely, my cholesterol slowly improved.
It’s the size of LDL that matters. The small balls of LDL are the dangerous ones. The big LDL just bounces off. Small LDL sticks in cracks and crevices or injuries and just keeps sticking more and more. Doctors never test for LDL size. You can get a CRP test, C-Reactive Protein as a potential indication. My CRP has always been below 1.0. Most all my life, my cholesterol and triglycerides were terribly high. Now my total cholesterol is very near the low end of normal including triglycerides. And my diet is still awful – the complete opposite of what you’d expect from my blood tests.
But what I did do starting about age 50 was to take Vitamin B12, B6 and Folic Acid (B9) in the right combination to prevent plaque from forming. You can search for the recommended balance of these three nutrients online. Just type those three vitamins followed by the word plaque. I’ve been taking those vitamins for 23 years.
And now that I know my arteries are clean, I hope these Jarrow Formulas QH-Absorb, 200 mg Softgels will help keep my heart and my brain going at least a couple more decades. Clean arteries in the heart and carotid arteries usually mean your brain has clean arteries, too. I just had a 3 Tesla MRI of my brain and it all looks good – no hint of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Always insist upon a 3 Tesla strength MRI machine – not the 1.5 T versions or worse yet, some old open MRIs that are 0.9 Tesla or worse. Not all MRI machines are even close to being the same.
Happy to hear this since I switched to daily oatmeal (from "healthy" boxed cereal) a decade ago. (And I eat 3x the normal serving size of oats.) But — I wish this video and some others from NuritionFacts were more specific instead of just saying "whole grains". That's because to the Average Joe or Jane, "whole grains" does not mean oatmeal, but rather cereals, breads, crackers, and pastas misleadingly marketed as "whole grain". While I'm sure those processed products that might contain some "whole grain" flour and maybe some tiny seeds are better than just eating white flour based products, they are far from being as beneficial to heart and brain health as plain oatmeal, barley, buckwheat, rye, etc. Part of the reason oatmeal is beneficial is that it's relatively low glycemic and good for digestion, unlike even "whole grain" wheat. So, I'm happy that you mention oatmeal in your title and a few times in the video, but overall I think using the phrase "whole grains" can be misleading to people who don't know what that really includes.
I eat quite some oatmeal a day, average around 300-400 grams a day. On chronometer I see that my manganese intake is pretty high above the daily recommended dosage a day, mainly because of the oatmeal. I read that a high manganese intake over a long period of time can cause neurological problems, Parkinson,… Should I be worried and replace half of the oatmeal intake by something else?
Best breakfast you will ever eat. It's like cheesecake every morning:
Put these into a blender, and blend until smooth: 1x Banana 1x Orange 1/2 cup Frozen Berries 1/2 cup to 1 cup Kale of loose leaves or ( frozen kale chunks) dash of Ground Cinnamon dash of Ground Turmeric pinch of Ground Cloves
Pour this "smoothie" into a huge bowl.
Top with: 1 cup of oats 1 tablespoon of flaxseed meal
It takes a ton of Daily Dozen boxes, tastes amazing, and keeps you satisfied until lunch.
Beans and grains are not health foods.
They are toxic.
All cooked food is toxic.
Most people die because of cooked food and animal products, since they are the cause of arteriosclerosis and almost all forms of cancer.
Why do you not know this?
Nature does not need studies to be validated by humans.
Humans are frugivores.
A raw vegan diet with an 80/10/10 macronutrient ratio, that is based on sweet fruits, is best for health and performance.
Can you do a vid on the research on fiber that shows a decrease in mortality by all causes of around 7% for every 10 grams of fiber you add to your diet ?

I get like double the minimum, that too much?
Answer – no it can't.
Have any studies been done on the health effects of oat milk consumption. I've been having it in my decaffeinated coffee 3 times a day.
Loveee this!!! 🙂
Nice work as always
