Greg Hunt is also against Vaping as a form of quitting smoking and is one of the reason we cannot legally buy vaping liquid that contains nicotine. He is living in the dark ages.
Thank you, I really do appreciate people coming out of the closet, so let us crumble down the stigma around the plant Cannabis.
Just a opinion: "Medical practice has neither philosophy nor common sense to recommend it. In sickness the body is already loaded with impurities. By taking drug-medicines more impurities are added thereby the case is further embarrassed and harder to cure." Elmer Lee, M.D.
Well Doctor,
The discovery of the endocannabinoid system (ECS) is the single most important scientific medical discovery since the recognition of sterile surgical technique. As our knowledge expands, we are coming to realize that the ECS is a master control system of virtually all physiology. The total effect of the ECS is to regulate HOMEOSTASIS and prevent disease and aging.
Now, the more we learn, the more we realize that we are in the infancy of this scientific field of study. The ECS is a control system which involves tissue receptor proteins, cellular communication and control, molecular anatomy and the scavenging of oxygen free radicals. This new field of science will change medicine forever and prove cannabis the gold standard for many disease processes. Its effect on scavenging oxygen free radicals is applicable to all disease processes and this is why it has such wide medical application and is considered a cure-all by many.
The discovery of the ECS will replace the current medical system of managing and treating disease. Instead of management of symptoms after disease has occurred, we will be able to prevent disease and CANCER by manipulation of the ECS. Research and education of medical students involving the ECS is being intentionally restricted by politics. No justification can be made for the restriction of the scientific study of cannabis and the endocannabinoid system.
There is something called the “entourage effect” which is synergy, 1 + 1 = 3, the medicines work better together, than when taken apart. Below explains the effect relating to the whole Cannabis plant.

Most animal studies with cannabidiol utilize synthetic, single-molecule CBD produced by biochemical laboratories for research purposes. In contrast, whole plant extractions typically include CBD, THC, and more than 400 trace compounds. Many of these compounds interact synergistically to create what scientists refer to as an “entourage effect” that magnifies the therapeutic benefits of the plant’s individual components—so that the medicinal impact of the whole plant is greater than the sum of its parts.
Cannabis and opiates use some of the same receptors, there isn’t much written on it I could find, but there is no doubt it is very real.

Prismic is now embarking on the development of palmitoylethanolamide, an endogenous fatty acid amide, as an FDA-approved prescription drug. This is a result of recent data confirming that certain formulations of its IP-protected palmitoylethanolamide demonstrate a clinical "entourage" or synergistic effect when administered in combination or concomitantly with certain target prescription products such as THC, oxycodone, morphine, and other opiates. The clinical benefit of the entourage effect is that lower doses of the target prescription drugs may be administered to achieve the desired therapeutic effect. This also means that there is a lessening or avoidance of adverse events and, in the case of opiates, a reduction in susceptibility to dependence and the delaying of the onset of tolerance.
Cannabis naive patients, need to use extreme caution and should get the guidance of a doctor specifically trained in the use of medical cannabis, if they are on Fentanyl, until they know what they’re doing and how their medicines will work together.
Getting too high on Fentanyl, could get you dead.

The death rate of synthetic opioids other than methadone, which includes drugs such as tramadol and fentanyl, increased by 72.2% from 2014 to 2015. 1
Synthetic opioid death rates (other than methadone) increased across all demographics, regions, and numerous states. Recent state reports have indicated that increases in synthetic opioid-involved deaths have been associated with the number of drug products obtained by law enforcement testing positive for fentanyl but not fentanyl prescribing rates. These reports indicate that increases in synthetic opioid-involved deaths are being driven by increases in fentanyl-involved overdose deaths, which are likely due to illicitly-manufactured fentanyl.2,3
