I highly respect Dr. Hill. He has a well earned expertise in the field of Essential Oils. But on this particular analysis I must make a comment. It came off as poorly researched on some points and biased. It was plain to see he was trying to be diplomatic with his comments, which is appropriate, but the corporate bias and maybe his own personal bias was very evident to anyone with any first hand experience with Hemp or Cannabis oil and that has studied the plant research (world wide) with any degree of earnestness. This isn’t a matter of what is therapeutically best, Copaiba or “CBD oil” (NOTE: we should be talking about whole plant cannabis or hemp oil that has been standardized to exact mg/ml of CBD and or THC per bottle- NOT CBD isolate- for THAT see the FDA approved synthetic CBD “Epidolex”). Both Copaiba and standardized whole plant hemp or cannabis botanicals have their place and can stand entirely on their own merits when used as “medicine” or general wellness. I would love to see doterra get into the Hemp oil or even Cannabis oil business because I believe they can be trusted to provide a very high quality product and contribute to ongoing research of the plant and help to break down psychological barriers to medical use. But considering the highly religious background of its owners I feel it is unlikely they would be able to see past their ecclesiastic leaders prohibition for all things cannabis. Even if this barrier were to be surmounted then they would still want to avoid any more scrutiny by the FDA or any other governmental agency. And rightly so. However, once the Feds de schedule cannabis then all bets are off. In the mean time I am extremely grateful for my bottles of CPTG doterra Copaiba Essential Oil and my high quality, pure, tested, standardized, full plant extract Hemp oil. They both have a permanent place on my shelf.
I'm not sure where you are getting the cost of $100/day for CBD oil use. I use CBD oil and it costs be $100/month CAD. I understand that there are a lot of companies out there that are mixing real CBD with synthetics, but I don't think it's fair to lump all companies in together. I currently use a license provider who's CBD oil product is extremely pure. Do your research, like with essential oils and every product on the market. There are the knock-offs and there are the real things. While I haven't tried Copaiba, and I definitely will, it's important not to outright dismiss something that is currently not well researched because of the illegality of the product. My guess is that over the next 10 years, a lot more research into the cannabis plant – in parts and as a whole – will be completed and we will see more benefits than what we currently know for. In the meantime, for those that are hesitant about "weed" usage, I think Copaiba sounds like a great alternative. Thanks for the information!
I'm so grateful for this beautiful Copaiba blend. It has had some wonderful effects for me and many clients, where several different types of cbd I tried didn't have any effect on me. #lovedoterra
There are clear warnings for people NOT to take CBD oil if they are on Eliquis. This is due to the way the drugs are metabloized and "Just like grapefruit, many cannabinoids inhibit P450 enzymes. Specifically, CBD greatly inhibits the actions of the CYP3A subfamily of enzymes. It is a much more powerful inhibitor of CYP3A4 and CYP3A5 than even grapefruit. " What about Copaiba oil? Would it also affect these enzymes and dangerously interact with medications?
I love doterra and use it everyday. That being said this video irritated me. 1. Since when does doterra care about what the FDA approves? 2. Why do we need a comparison? I will continue to happily use both CBD an Copaiba. 3. I’m sorry to say but I’m sure if doterra sold CBD they would have no problems recommending it to everyone and their mom. Thank you dr hill, I respect you and your education!
My husband takes CBD daily and it is a miracle drug for him. But my daughter and son work in public safety and are subject to random drug test. I was wondering if Copaiba has any effects on drug testing?
Section 12619 of the 2018 Farm Bill signed by the President on December 20th, 2018 removes hemp-derived products with THC level under 0.3% from its Schedule I status under the Controlled Substances Act! Hemp delivered CBD is NOT a Controlled Substance on a Federal Level!
You set off a red flag when you said "we know all there is to know about the endo cannabinoid system". I don't believe we ever know all there is to know.
Thank you. I have tried CBD and it does not work for me. I believe that it is a miracle plant but definitely not marketed by any expert in the dosages. There are absolutely no guidelines. I was very disappointed at the cost and results. I love copaiba. Topically it works fantastic. The gel caps are very useful to take on a daily basis. Thank you
Great explanation on the right topic of focus for a conversation and understanding! Thank you Dr. Hill!

Is 1 drop of Copaiba the needed daily amount to use?
