How Michiganders feel about legalized marijuana businesses in their community
MLive marijuana beat reporter Amy Biolchini traveled the state to talk to citizens about how they would feel about recreational marijuana businesses in their …
I was abused all my life. Physically and emotionally. Pot helps with my anxiety and depression. Anxiety and depression really got in the way with schoolwork and just consciousness in general. All the pills doctors prescribe that just make you feel worse. They give you a pill that one of the side effects is wanting to commit suicide? With that being said, I was 17 years old when I found out pot could make things a lot better. I graduated school because pot helped me focus. It's a matter of using it correctly. I smoke a Joint a day and it changed my life. I wish we could focus more on the benefits rather just using it to get high.
It’s a bunch of dumbasses in this video that obviously don’t even smoke and are against marijuana and probably smoke cigarettes and drink beer every night… they shoulda never spoke on this subject ^* and obviously don’t have the knowledge of actually how much money is in this industry also
"many of the kids on your bus have difficulties at home due to alcohol and drug abuse, specifically marijuana" ?? Really you moron? You have no idea what you're talking about… Anybody who claims their marijuana habit is wrecking their lives is full of shit… And then the next guy talkin about minors finding an adult to buy weed for them from the pot shop… Same thing happens with alcohol, brain!!! Should be ban alcohol and/or close all the liquor stores? Why don't you people understand that NOW weed is exactly like alcohol… Regulated. It's funny how the govt controls people's beliefs… demonize weed for so long that people find it impossible to look at the reality of the situation
Legalization has NOTING to do with the drug abuse crisis, the drug war, and criminalization. We have many ILLEGAL immigrants here but in sanctuary cities they are NOT criminalized. The only people who want legalization is the capitalist drug industry to make money and the anarchists who just want to undermine the government. Legalization has absolutely NOTHING to do with solving the drug abuse crisis, "criminalization," or the drug war. There are MANY countries that have far MORE laws not less against using drugs than the USA yet they have NO drug war or drug abuse crisis. Because they dont have a LIBERAL culture of drug use. If the USA had a different culture like a socialist culture, we would not have a drug war, we would be trying to help people get off drugs with social workers, and counselors etc. That would NOT entail legalization. The reason we have a drug war is because of the ideology of liberalism. once more and more people become liberal and break the law more and more "force" is needed to crack down on law breakers. Liberals (like anarchists) dont believe in state help or believe that using drugs is good or bad because its up to the individual to decide. Therefore there is really no effort to get people off of drugs. Liberals (unlike anarchists) do believe in state enforcement of laws. If you believe (like socialists) that drug abuse is bad for society and the individual then legalization has absolutely ZERO to do with the whole crisis

These people really need to do their own thorough research and form their own opinions instead of making assumptions about "what they think will happen" or just believing what they hear on tv about recreational marijuana shops opening. These are close minded answers, in my opinion. This really is anti-marijuana propaganda like other commenters have said. No other way to put it.
People that don't want it legal but we got legal alcshol opioid blood pressure meds that give u cancer yrs later wake up and go green watch boys in the hood and learn something
Alcohol, tobacco, pharmaceuticals, fast food and the police kill people. Marijuana does not. The people that want it kept illegal just don’t want to give up a form of oppression, there’s no other reason. If they really cared about safety there would be limits on alcohol purchases and how fast cars are made to go. But we can buy all the alcohol we want and every car is capable of over 100mph, safety first.
There are only two kinds of people that oppose the legalization of cannabis the ones that are ignorant on the subject and the ones that make money off of it being illegal.
People need to mellow out. I used to live in MI, now in CA and there are two dispensaries in my town and a couple dozen delivery services in the county. Cannabis is not a big deal and people should ease up on their concerns about the legal market arriving. Dispensaries need to be vetted. The shops that are granted a license should encourage to employ locals and get involved in their communities that they live in. For example, a local dispensary near me does countless fundraisers throughout the year and are actively trying to make a positive impact on the community. Worried about the youth? Educate! It's a public health issue, treat it as such. Spend some dollars on honest educational campaigns to encourage dialog between parents and kids about said risks.
As a Michigander I believe that legalized marijuana is going to be a boom for the economy and not near as harmful as legalized alcohol…. I've never heard of a blackout high but know foresure that people blackout from alcohol….

This is unbelievably biased. Next time do better work on your journalism. Marijuana saved my life and continues too everyday.

As a Michiganian I don't support marijuana shops we don't need them or want them
