None of this makes any difference to whether people should be at liberty to decide what they put into their bodies. When people don't hurt a specific other person either physically or financially, they should in a free country be left the eff alone.

This guy started getting high at an age WAY younger than any reasonable person would advocate for (and when it was illegal), and it messed him up – anyone surprised? He also spouted a number of either misleading or decontextualized facts to support his preconceived notions. He is NOT a scientist. Is this what TED is down to these days?

Most people that use weed abuse it and are always high. They wake and bake, they smoke after breakfast, they smoke at lunch, than at 4:20, than after dinner, than in the evening, and before bed. Most that drink alcohol do it on a weekend or at dinner, not like the drug addicted pot heads who are always high. It should only be used as pain medication like opiates it shouldn’t be used to just get high.
Given how the alcohol and tobacco industries behave, would you expect anything other than unrestrained profiteering? Decriminialize, but don't give the drug supply over to capitalists.
Are humans natural? Is pleasure seeking behavior natural to humans? Is collective and competitive innovation natural to human behavior? What is the endocannabinoid system and how/why did humans evolve to have it? Does cannabis have lethal effects like tobacco? Why does nature support so many illegal narcotics? DECRIMINALIZE NATURE!!!
CBD does nothing for my pain, I have bottles of the stuff just sitting collecting dust. THC is what takes my pain away for the most part. This CBD is owned by big pharma taking the peoples money because their opioids are running out of time in the market.
I agree with you on the disproportionately affecting some races. In fact the same thing is true with abortion. Both of them affect different races disproportionately and there seems to be something going on here.
